It's only day 4 and the Alter Sleeves Kickstarter is already 54% funded which is absolutely staggering. It has left us simultaneously thrilled and humbled: we are truly grateful to everyone that has pledged so far and we hope you're sharing with your friends!
Over the course of the last few days we have received a lot of constructive criticism regarding making what you get in reward tiers clearer, particularly what is conveyed via the graphics. We have updated the graphics for tiers 1 - 8, and we hope they are clearer: perhaps in light of new information you might want to upgrade your pledge? We will have updated graphics for tiers 9 - 13 up tomorrow too: we actually wanted to post a couple of examples here for feedback, but Kickstarter's uploader seems to be quite unhappy. It is also worth noting that you also add $30 to any order to receive 4 additional sleeves that you can select from our library upon launch.
If you like the idea and want to get involved, we are always looking for new artists and you can join our very active community here. In fact if you're a budding alterist you can always submit your art to be featured by us here.

Wow! What a crazy day one.
We are already nearly half way to our goal, and that's all because of your support! Thank you to all the backers and for those of you on the fence we hope we can show you something over the next few weeks that brings you over.
First, feedback! We've heard it and are responding as quickly as possible. A few things:
We're updating FAQ this morning to get more details for those things that just aren't clear enough in our Kickstarter.
You want more examples of the art, so we're building some tools on our website this week to highlight the sets better and allow you to browse examples of what artists have uploaded. That said, please remember, artists will be uploading sets for these bonuses all the way up until we open the store for #SUPERHASTE backers so we hope there will be something in there that you'll love. In the meantime, please check out Alter Sleeves Library to see the largest collection of examples of Sleeves that have been uploaded.
We'll be posting examples all week to our Instagram so you get more ways to see and share them. Here's today's by @MarcSolArt as a teaser:
We understand the "Shipping"cost for European backers is not clear, so we'll try to clarify that in the rewards, but here's the deal. We're a US/EU based company, but will be printing and shipping from Europe so we have to pay VAT for each order we send to EU member countries. We covered this in our WebStore by charging $8/€8 (currently that's 13% difference and we're paying the other 8%). The problem is Kickstarter does not support two currencies, nor do they support a country by country tax rate... so the only solution we could think of was to add 13% as a shipping cost. We explained it in the shipping part of the Kickstarter, but it's not clear enough so we'll clarify in the descriptions.
